France: Classical XPan Photographs from Châteaux of the Loire valley

Posted in Hasselblad XPan Photographie - Chronologie by Stimm on July 13, 2010

The Loire Valley: an outstanding cultural landscape of great beauty, containing historic villages and great architectural monuments: the châteaux.  Worth to visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here some shots from the year 2001 until now. Every time these châteaux and the surroundings are more then impressive, overburden with architectural motives and saturated with important historical facts. A mixture of art, nature and the taste of European history. Partly the black & white photographs reflecting these sight of a timeless “milestones of human history” and the history seems there to be perceptible. Enjoy, remember or feel the “savoir-vivre”.

Vertical XPan photographs from Germany church towers

Posted in Hasselblad XPan Photographie - Chronologie by Stimm on April 5, 2010

Since my first visit of France, I was fascinated by these impressive cathedrals and ornate churches in the towns. Especially all the different clock towers inspires me a lot and I found it very remarkable, that every town seems to be represented a bit by his church and his tower. In Germany I remarked the same and found that the Hasselblad XPan is a perfect format to set all the individual ” town markers ” in a unique format. Maybe somebody will recognize his church tower and survey in details his wonderful city.

New Nepal XPan-Shots from Jiri-Everest Trail

Posted in Hasselblad XPan Photographie - Chronologie by Stimm on February 21, 2010

Now all Nepal film rolls from the Everest area are developed. Generally I used at the trip the “new” Kodak TMAX 400 or the classical TMAX 100. The photographic documentation about the former passage to the Everest area from little village Jiri in the Nepal midlands to the  high altitude villages around Namche Bazar is now completed.

The area is mostly buddhistic, only the beginning trail is Hindu and as usual the friendliness of the Nepali makes it a pleasure to wander around in that area. Since the Maoist are official participating at the power, they do not longer bug you to collect your “voluntary donation” – pressed by their guns demonstrations – for doing your trekking.  What a miss of that nice receipts for the given donation and stamps with communistic hammer & sickle symbols!

Anyway…it is still attractive and here some Hasselblad XPan impressions from the district Solukhumbu.

Dear Guests,

in this space I will post my relevant messages according to my Hasselblad XPan work. News, opinions, milestones and comments related to my Picturebox-Site  under www.PictureBox.AndreasStimm.de. To use the board here is much more easier & than in the PictureBox System, therefore a link will be there. Hope you enjoy!
