New Nepal XPan-Shots from Jiri-Everest Trail

Posted in Hasselblad XPan Photographie - Chronologie by Stimm on February 21, 2010

Now all Nepal film rolls from the Everest area are developed. Generally I used at the trip the “new” Kodak TMAX 400 or the classical TMAX 100. The photographic documentation about the former passage to the Everest area from little village Jiri in the Nepal midlands to the  high altitude villages around Namche Bazar is now completed.

The area is mostly buddhistic, only the beginning trail is Hindu and as usual the friendliness of the Nepali makes it a pleasure to wander around in that area. Since the Maoist are official participating at the power, they do not longer bug you to collect your “voluntary donation” – pressed by their guns demonstrations – for doing your trekking.  What a miss of that nice receipts for the given donation and stamps with communistic hammer & sickle symbols!

Anyway…it is still attractive and here some Hasselblad XPan impressions from the district Solukhumbu.
